Here they are on the farm, gathering together just before feeding time in the morning. Sometimes all they need to hear is just the voice of my daughter or myself…then, they start crying. Then again, there are days that they will start yelling as soon as they hear me open the door to let the dogs outside in the morning. They are not above trying to cry to get more food when one of us come home late. They really do have individual personalities. As weird as it was to get used to NOT hearing city sounds when we moved to the country, it would be just as strange now not to hear the animals in the morning.

When I was younger, my dearest friends jokingly called me “Contessa Grigia”. They would yell “Contessa” from the balcony as I walked to their apartment. They also called me “Ninja Turtle”, since my backpack was full of books. Contessa Grigia is more attractive to me than Ninja Turtle, although Ninja Turtle is pretty funny!
My username became “Contessa Grigia” (Countess Gray), with a chuckle. Now, it is a matter of owning it. LOL!
