This was what the farm looked like this time last year. We had so many chickens running around the farm. Then the coyotes developed a taste for our chickens, and we are about 1/4 of what we had at one time. It sure was nice getting all the eggs too, but the red chickens started pecking open the eggs. Now, all the chickens wait for a hen to start clucking, and get right to that egg.
Farm lessons are hard lessons to learn. Gotta get a fence to keep the coyotes out, and must take these chickens in the processor to have killed and cleaned. We will have to start fresh with a new flock.
